What virtual team onboarding strategies work best for remote employees?

The remote employee has to clearly know what goal achievement is expected from him/her. Objectives should be provided on Day 1 of joining along with JD. Also, a one-to-one meeting has to be held with Team and the Manager.

Let your virtual team know how you want their tasks done after going over the tasks that you need them to complete. Once the HR sends necessary documents for joining, I as a manager connects with the candidate and start the onboarding process. 2. After their official email Id is created, I send them an orientation video that describes the work process, ways to use work resources and other important things. 3. Once they watch the video, I connect with them on zoom call to discuss other things like how to work, show them work samples, and explain them important Google sheets. 4. I introduce them with other team members and the team lead to make them feel connected. 5. Once the candidate is done with these things, they may start working on the same day or the next day.
