Adobe Premiere Pro is the main editing tool you should be using for video content-- for live action, that is. Premiere has solid color correction and good audio capabilities-- which is a huge aspect of video editing. It's pretty user-friendly and there are tons of easy-to-follow video tutorials on Youtube. Plus, it integrates with After Effects, meaning you can create basic motion graphics.

For me, Adobe is the most robust and versatile option. Premiere Pro with After Effects and Audition are very robust for marketers. Some Photoshop or illustrator when needed. With the dynamic link options, you can make changes in After Effects that automatically appear in your Premiere Pro project. Also, one of the biggest advantage is that you can exchange projects with your team. Send the project, the assets, typos,... import and start working. Very easy to use. Final Cut is not so collaborative. The way it works with medias and proxys make the projects very heavy in datas. I'd say that Final Cut is very easy for Corporate movies or news editing. Definitely not for marketers.

There's a couple of choices depending on your OS. I've always leaned towards Premiere Pro given the simplicity and relative ease of use. Add to the fact that you can colour grade easily, save presets or download LUTs from your favourite creators and further integration into after effects, and creative cloud, it's my go to software.

Regarding 3D models, you can do some of that in After Effects because After Effects has a built-in dynamic linking to Cinema 4D-- but it has limitations. To do a full 3D video, you need to use the standalone version of Cinema 4D. After Effects CAN do 2.5D, which can be pretty robust and good for a lot of situations-- especially if you don't have the budget/skillset to go fully 3D.

At this point I do all my video production on my iPad Pro with using Final Cut Pro. The latest version is actually easier to use than the version for Mac. I also use CapCut because it’s easier to use for more basic editing.

The main three options are Final Cut Pro, Premiere Pro and DaVinci Resolve. I wouldn't use Final Cut Pro though if you want to edit in different companies because most will be using Adobe and maybe DaVinci Resolve. It doesn't matter the style of videos you're editing, these are probably the best; I'd recommend Adobe.

Here's the deal--video editing software is a tool. Some tools are more top tier and better suited for higher end editing than others (Premiere, etc.) but depending on what you're doing, will decide what level of software you need. Sometimes capcut or even in app software will suffice if all you need is something quick, simple and easy.

DAVINCI RESOLVE I used the free version for the first 3 years of my career after being recommended by my film mentor. It was the best decision I ever made! It has a wide & detailed system of professional editing tools from simple timelines to VFX, colour grading & even an audio/recording suite. You don't have to learn it all right away, but everything is there for you to make professional marketing videos without having to sell your soul/credit card to Adobe - who I believe are very sneaky with their pricing & cancellation policies. DaVinci is widely used in the professional film industry, and is a long-term mentor/companion in everyone's film + editing journey.
