What strategies improve decision-making in workflow troubleshooting?

La calidad de los datos recopilados son de alta importancia. De ellos depende que se puedan realizar análisis realmente profundos y efectivos. Con la confianza de conocer con precisión la causa raíz del problema, o más bien la oportunidad de mejora, se pueden enfocar los recursos de una manera mas efectiva y productiva.

Analizar los datos de manera integral con el equipo natural de trabajo y utilizando las herramientas adecuadas que se requieran para parar los sangrados y atender las causas.

I've always approached data collection as the foundation for quantitative solution metrics (both direct and downstream). A well defined problem is much easier to solve than an abstract one.

Gather data is very important for decision-making because if the information is not correct, the decision made could not be correct either. Nowadays, a lot of work is done with data collection since they are usually paper formats and sometimes that information is not analyzed. We have to start by digitization the information and standardizing the capture so that it can be analyzed in a simpler way and have reliable information.

I would add an earlier step establish a solid data collection plan. Not all data will be useful. The plan will allow to go for a targeted approach to get the type and amount of data necessary. So, assessing what data is available, understanding what data is needed, identifying the sources (and how reliable they are), and more importantly what will each data allow you to see, uncover.... without a plan, it is easier to be overwhelmed and the next step of analysis might be ineffective.

Eu particularmente acredito que o "5 Por quês" de fato seja a ferramenta mais acessível para todos os perfis, desde Jrs até Executivos, ela é fácil e simples de entender e executar. Entretanto, em algumas situa??es, como por exemplo, problemas de média complexidade que todos entendem que a resolu??o pode acontecer em médio prazo, a "árvore de hipóteses" seja a melhor op??o, dado que precisará analisar os dados, gerar hipóteses e terá acordado que teremos um tempo hábil para testá-las. Em casos de alta complexidade, minha sugest?o é dedicar algum especialista em processos/qualidade para rodar o ciclo de BPM para captar todas variáveis possíveis, para maior assertividade na resolu??o.

Existen diversas metodologías que ayudan con el análisis de causas, la clave desde mi experiencia se encuentra en utilizar aquella que mejor se adapte al problema analizado (no todas se adaptan a todos los posibles escenarios de forma efectiva). Por ello, es importante que el equipo de trabajo cuente con el conocimiento de las diferentes técnicas a utilizar, sus beneficios y puedan sacar un mayor provecho de estás. Adicionalmente, es importante tener una persona experta que lidere estas reuniones y facilite el proceso, de manera que estos encuentros sean altamente efectivos.

Estoy totalmente de acuerdo con el enfoque propuesto. Una vez que hayamos recopilado suficientes datos, el análisis de las posibles causas del problema del flujo de trabajo es crucial. Identificar patrones o problemas recurrentes nos permitirá detectar problemas sistémicos subyacentes. Sin embargo es importante reconocer aquellas emociones que pueda generar cegueras en el análisis y no nos permitan identificar los problemas sistemáticos.

Cuándo se están analizando posibles soluciones a los problemas, es importante tener un pensamiento, es decir, visualizar cómo estás acciones pueden afectar a los demás actores del sistema ( Clientes, procesos, otras áreas, etc) para determinar cuál sería la opción más adecuada y que sea más conveniente para el sistema en el largo plazo. Es común ver en organizaciones que las soluciones más fáciles en el corto plazo terminan generando mayores problemas en el largo plazo.

Including the team is paramount and necessary for change and adoption of the change. Too many times I've heard stakeholders say, "they should have included us" or "the decision was made without my input." Change is about partnership and driving towards a solution as a team. Including those who perform and own the process in the very beginning can help improve adoption, integration and better solutions.

Concordo com o método abordado, pois uma vez que os operadores exp?e os problemas do dia dia, as opini?es e as possíveis maneiras de solucionar os problemas de fluxo, eles se motivam e se sentem como parte do processo.
