What are the steps to discovering your career passion and purpose?

In my experience, continuously access where you are and where you want to be. See what options are available to fill any gaps, if that includes additional studying or additional online courses. Make your supervisor or management team aware of the direction you wish to develop into. Keep the course and do not give up. There might be roadblocks along the way…just do not give up. It is hard and it will get harder but just keep at it.

Your situation can determine where will you go ahead but you can change it. Assess the situation and what you can do to make it better. Your career should make an impact for yourself not just a trial. Your strengths should make it more valuable and improving your weaknesses should be your growth.

Experimenting at early stage and focusing on what’s exciting and interesting. Explore the opportunities and face challenges as you will be able to recognise your strengths.

Your passion should have a purpose, which should define your goals. Your purpose hence should be for greater good. Anyone can do it but your purpose should bring some change for betterment and your mission should serve others, it should add value to others.

One thing I agree with, is that we all do not have it figured out at once. Finding a career to pursue and sticking to it will at times require you to first go through some mud??, you need to experiment and see what works for you , along the way you might pick up something you would have never thought about. My take, don't limit your options, as long as you can get the job done, which of course is driven by attitude more than skill, learn as much as you can. With time you will find something that you have grown to be passionate about. ??

Just don’t try anything and everything, you should know what are your options and work on them. You need to evaluate them and the one matches your purpose, should be the one you go ahead with.
