Blogging is create to capture example of work (with screen shot and links) but also to reflect on projects, events you attended or community projct that caught your attention.

Let's say you've got the best platform and have selected the best visually appearling projects but if theses visuals or porjects don't have a story to them, what's the point of having them? You should have detailed descriptions as to why did you work on the project, what was the process, what insights did you encover etc. These descriptions will help others understand the thought process behind the entire project and why certain decisions had to be made.

Writing down helps to articulate things in you mind and makes it easier to recollect your exact thoughts when you are stuck. Easiest way is to make yourself a readme file in notepad or notion, so whenever you review or revisit you can know exactly where to start

Your portfolio need to be kept current for sure, but also do not delete any old data visualisations. Often people think that their project project was horrible and not worth sharing. I would disagree, as it can be used to demonstrate your progress. Even if you publish a project is the wrong colors, wrong chart type, keep this as an example to show progress.

This step is not necessary but if you do this time to time it really shows your progress in terms of learnings and it helps to make sure that you are able to refine things that you hadn't noticed at first.
