Steps that can be taken to grow from community organizer to a leadership role is to first, seek mentorship and/or coaches, who are in the leadership positions you aspire to be in. Secondly, become a support system for those around you, and for those who work for you while becoming a source of information. Lastly, growing into a leadership role also means delegating task to others and showing trust in your staff to assist you with completing the overall goal of your organization

In my opinion, a super power for a leader is trust. A person's credibility builds trust, and when you fully trust someone, it enables you to work with them much more efficiently and productively. So, how does one become "credible"? Here are my top five tips;? DELIVER RESULTS:?Management is nothing if not a results-oriented endeavor. TRANSPARENCY:?Be straight with people or you'll always be bucking the current, a trout swimming upstream. DON’T DUCK TOUGH DECISIONS SHOW CONSISTENCY IN YOUR BEHAVIOR:?Especially?in an uncertain world, people understandably like things they can depend on. LEAD BY EXAMPLE:? Employees watch their management closely. If they conclude management is playing by its own set of rules, it kills credibility.

Develop Strategic Vision: Transition by honing your ability to see the big picture. Develop a strategic vision for your community or organization, showcasing your ability to lead with foresight. Transitioning from a community organizer to a leadership role involves a multifaceted approach, combining strategic thinking, relationship-building, effective communication, ongoing learning, and a track record of tangible achievements.

Remember, transitioning to a leadership role takes time, effort, and dedication. Focus on building your skills, network, and expertise to succeed. ?Develop leadershiip skills and build a strong network to expand your professional network by attending industry events and conferences. ?Gain experience in project management through volunteering to lead projects, demonstrating your ability to manage teams. This makes it even more important to enhance your effectiveness and relevance, but also demonstrate your commitment and curiosity, if you want to take your skills as a leader to the next level.

As a Community Leader, you do a lot. You are the group's most authoritative and influential person. Your community will reflect on the positive behaviors you want in your community, award those that echo that, and have conviction when putting yourself out there. The sustainability and resilience of the community rests on your back. Do not take it lightly.
