given the continued global co2 & ghg emissions, regardless measured or unaccounted for, the icecaps in arctic & antarctic have only been melting faster than before. unless the world gets our act together to aggressively combat climate change, there probably won't be ice left at the turn of the century. and as explained in school geography textbooks, ,freak weather patterns & natural disasters shall be occurring in quicker succession.
