As for applications; leverage Random Forest for predictive maintenance in manufacturing. Use K-means for customer segmentation in e-commerce. Gradient Boosting works best for financial forecasting, Apriori can be used for market basket analysis in retail. PCA is good for image compression in healthcare, and Isolation Forest brings value for fraud detection in finance. XGBoost or More recently LightGBM are indispensable names in the classification world, especially for the tabular datasets.
