What are some examples of successful online education value propositions and why do they work?

The term first appeared in a 1988 McKinsey research paper which defined it as "a clear, simple statement of the benefits, both tangible & intangible, that the company will provide...with the approximate price for those benefits." Today the internet has democratised access to information & people so there are lots of different types of value propositions needed for different key stakeholders e.g., investors, employees, clients, future talent. Value propositions can follow different formats, as long as they are "on brand" & specific to the company in question. A successful value proposition should be persuasive & help key stakeholders differentiate you from your competition & want to take action - think/say/do something differently.

Personally, I have taken several online education courses. I am very discerning about which will get my time, attention, and most importantly, my dollars. When evaluating a particular program, I look at several factors: - Benefits. What is being offered in the course. What skill-set, mindset, and/or heart-set will I be elevating by taking this course? - Quality. Quality of the website, one-pager, video sample, etc. I look at all of it. - Introductory offers. Is there a webinar, mini course, etc to learn more about the course? Side Note: Active Participation (You) One of the best ways is attending and ACTIVELY participating in an informational webinar/course. Learning is an active sport. A two way street.
