Let users actually use the app for a while before asking them to write a review. If a user has been using the app regularly for a while chances are they like it and will most likely leave a positive review. If a person doesn’t like the app, they will stop using it fairly soon after installing it and will then delete it before having to write a review on it.

This is one of the best things a publisher can do. Rather than relying on hit and miss, try to use tools like Amplitude and Braze to segment users based on their habits and then match their behaviour with a relevant moment where they would be more likely to leave a positive review.
