What are some creative ways to connect with people?

I want to connect with people who share my passion in a way that's genuine and inspiring. And guess what? Linkedin is my playground! But, remember, it doesnt matter what social midia you will be using, consistency is key! By regularly posting engaging content across platforms, you'll become the go-to resource for all things mineral surfaces. Be yourself, share your passion, and watch your network of connections grow!

In my experience, understanding your current audience or the audience you wish to attract makes it easier to create content and show your expertise on topics they care about. So before you start anything, ask yourself the type of people you want to reach and develop topics that showcase your skills but also relatable to them.

I am using a European mentoring platform. Try this approach to connect with others; you can be a mentor, a mentee, or both. You'll find people interested in personal growth and networking.

In a world of automated messages and generic gifts, it's hard to stand out and truly connect. Forget generic cards! Write a poem on a napkin, send a funny meme referencing an inside joke....be unique.

Many employers offer employee resource groups (ERGs), which are a great way to connect with people who share your values while working toward a common goal. It's an effective way to expand your network at work and can be an opportunity to meet people across departments and job functions (i.e., those you may not have met otherwise).

I love this one and wanted to add that beyond simply participating in a challenge, consider documenting and sharing your journey through blog posts, vlogs or social media updates. Additionally don’t forget to engage with others participating in the challenge, encourage them, offer advice or ask for their insights. The interaction just won’t enrich your own challenge experience but helps establish deeper connections with your peers.

In my experience, being like most people won't make you stand out. In a scenario where some people are frequently messaged with cold calls, generic messages, or robotic conversations, standing out might make a difference. I remember once that of of my leaders was looking for a data engineer. We found a notorious one and the approach that made the difference was the fact that he studied the curriculum from this person and found out that it likes a very famous geek book. When doing the approach (we were trying to hire the person), he used a quote from the book with a fun joke. That stand out approach proved to be effective and in the end the person joined our company!
