OR Gate: Produces a high output (1) if any of its inputs are high (1). NOT Gate (Inverter): Produces an output that is the logical negation of its input. NAND Gate: Produces a low output (0) only if all its inputs are high (1), otherwise produces a high output (1). NOR Gate: Produces a low output (0) if any of its inputs are high (1), otherwise produces a high output (1). XOR Gate (Exclusive OR): Produces a high output (1) if the number of high inputs is odd. XNOR Gate (Exclusive NOR): Produces a high output (1) if the number of high inputs is even.

Multiple NOR gates may be used to implement the logic of any other standard logic gate. Although, there's no real common practical advantage to using only NOR gates in a modern circuit design. Well, I suppose components are cheaper when bought in bulk, and the BOM would be simpler :p

6 XOR gate

An XOR gate is a logic gate that has two inputs and one output. It produces a 1 (high) output when the inputs are different, and a 0 (low) output when the inputs are the same. There is another type of gate not mentioned here called the XNOR gate. An XNOR gate is a logic gate that has two inputs and one output. The symbol of XNOR Gate is ?. It produces a 1 (high) output when the inputs are same, and a 0 (low) output when the inputs are the different. An XNOR gate can be used to create comparator circuits, error detection and correction circuits. They're also called "Equivalence Gates".
