During challenging times a leader will always step in to assist the team. A leader must remain positive even if failure is imminent. A leader must have broad shoulders in any situation.

Be true to your workers. Never lie to them nor try and "spin" the truth. Never offer vague promises to them for pay, travel, expenses, or other perks. Once a worker finds out you will lie to them, they will never trust you again. Two of the best guys I ever had a rule. You can mess up, but you better fess up. We can fix any problems we know about and how they happened. But if you lie to us, you are gone.

Sometimes, all you can do is buy ice cream or go out for a drink. We can't always control external factors, and preventing motivational setbacks may be beyond our authority.
