It is important to follow an audit process to review the process and system on a regular basis. But while doing automation always think in calculating the impact analysis. What happens and what is affecting if you do automation. One way automation may give success otherway if there is no proper workflows, approval and validation are followed it will be huge impact to the process in terms of Integrations or it can be data transformation etc.

Identifying dependencies is the key !!! Once identified , reach out to relevant teams with requirements . Give them details on priority , criticality and time lines . There can be push backs from dependent teams like no bandwidth , it’s not priority to them or they have budget approved to do that or they can’t complete it in given time frame !!! Every dependency is important - but being able to order them in urgency and get that right is the first step down the right path. From there it becomes clear and easier to breakdown into actions and dependency ladder to fast track initiatives.
