This is not to mix with CI steering committees (CISC), which is a necessity! CISCs are tasked to align CI efforts with company goals and strategy. For any CI idea to succeed, it must answer two questions: 1- Does it align with company goals and strategy? answer should be yes. 2- Is it already implemented in another form? answer should be no. At the end of the day, floor-level workers are the ones to implement any CI. If they are not involved and credited, little to nothing can be done. Moreover, without standardized processes in place, there is nothing to improve!
