Tienes que saber que, obviamente, se van a llevar alrededor de un 25% de la tarifa por la conferencia. Pero vale mucho la pena trabajar con ellos ya que pueden conseguirte oportunidades muy buenas para crecer como speaker, además de poder asesorarte sobre cómo posicionarte y que tarifas tener.

La principal ventaja de tener un agente o trabajar con una agencia es que te liberará tiempo que podrás dedicar en mejorar tu contenido y habilidades. Te olvidarás de la labor comercial (suele ser la parte que menos le gusta a muchos profesionales … aunque a otros nos encanta) y todos las gestiones administrativas, logística, etc … En el caso de las agencias hay un tema que es muy interesante: el encontrar a una que vaya más allá que ofrecer simplemente tus servicios y que estos formen parte de un todo más amplio.

Aunque muchos te dirán que el inconveniente es la comisión que se puede llevar el agente o la agencia (del 10% al 25%), para mí no lo es dadas todas las tareas que deben de realizar (desde la parte comercial a la logística y desplazamientos). Lo que sí parece un inconveniente y casi una amenaza es trabajar con un agente/agencia que simplemente comercializa tus servicios sin pensar en desarrollar proyectos más amplios y ambiciosos: al final, y si te gusta hacer la labor comercial como es mi caso, ese % de comisión puede ser elevado para gestionar solo la logística. Rodéate que personas que quieran pensar en grande

Si decides trabajar con un agente o agencia mi experiencia es que no esperes sentado a que te traiga proyectos: podéis trabajar conjuntamente para desarrollar proyectos. Tú puedes darle feedback y experiencias de eventos realizados para que la otra parte tenga ideas e inspiración para generar proyectos. Se debe de generar una alianza donde, ahí, estamos juntos … sin excusa alguna
