When forming a Quality Management team, it's crucial to consider a blend of expertise, communication, and adaptability. The team's composition and dynamics play a pivotal role in ensuring product excellence and process optimization. It is very important to establish a culture of quality, that is, each individual on the team must present an authentic and committed effort to imbue each process, each situation, each result with quality. A deep, conscious philosophy aimed at continuous improvement with the sole and ultimate goal of achieving the highest possible quality standards.

As in any team, it's important to have a wide range of skills. Too much of the same leads to stagnation and narrows focus. From my experience, it is also important to have employees with a practical background who understand how to put theoretical requirements into practice. When it comes to personality, it is important to have approachable, authentic and cooperative characters who try to help but also have a clear point of view.

Build a team with diverse skill sets to cover various aspects of quality management. Consider individuals with expertise in risk management, statistical analysis, quality systems, auditing, and relevant industry knowledge.

nsure that team members have the necessary education and training in quality management principles, regulations, and industry-specific requirements. Encourage ongoing professional development to stay abreast of evolving standards and best practices.

Clearly define the roles and responsibilities of each team member. This includes roles such as Quality Assurance (QA) analysts, Quality Control (QC) inspectors, regulatory compliance specialists, and quality engineers. Establishing clear expectations helps avoid confusion and ensures accountability.

The size of the team depends on the size and complexity of the company, but also on how quickly the company wants to achieve better processes and results. Based on the number of production sites, it is then also possible to determine whether the team will be set up centrally or decentrally. In the end, however, it is not only the size of the QM team, but also the availability of specialists from other areas that determines the success of the work.

When building a quality management team, It goes without saying that the members should have continuous improvement mindset, moreover they should be skilled and experienced and have knowledge of required quality management-related regulations, standards and tools. Building a diverse team with different backgrounds and perspectives can also boost the overall efficacy. The general charactristics like communication skills, team work and collaboration should not be underestimated.

Experience, skills, and accomplishments are all important in selection of individual quality team members. Bit also just as important, if not more so, is selecting the individuals based on are they a great fit for the teams culture and values.
