One thing I found helpful when I started my marketing & graphic design firm 23 years ago and that is still relevant today, is a book called "The Business Side of Creativity", by Cameron Foote. Not only does it include helpful advice regarding the business model questions above, it helps you role play and really determine if you have what it takes to be a entrepreneur in the creative industry. It's a great gut and reality check.
