What role does technology play in modern classroom management?

Technology has played a major role in a modern classroom management; 1. Technology has made learning and easier and interesting through the use of gamification. 2. Technology has improved the understanding of concepts by learners. 3. Technology has improved inclusive classroom management. 4. Technology has provided teachers with lots of strategies to manage the classroom.

Technology plays a crucial role in modern classroom management by offering tools and systems that streamline administrative tasks, enhance communication between educators, students, and parents, facilitate personalized learning experiences, track student progress effectively, provide real-time feedback, promote collaboration among students, and create a more engaging and interactive learning environment overall. These technological solutions help teachers save time, improve efficiency, and adapt their teaching methods to meet the diverse needs of students in today's digital age.

The students are much more engaged when I present short videos or gamify group projects. As much as it is important to stay on top of latest technologies, it is also important to relate to the current generation.

While choosing a tool which threads parents teachers and students, choosing a tool which all three groups find convenient is very important.Have seen cases where parent-teacher interactions, student-teacher interactions and institutional level committee interactions (individual/group) happening through WhatsApp.Familiarity and convenience is the key.

In my experience, specifically as a Kindergarten teacher, I have found that using communication platforms with parents as well as students has truly opened a clear path to consistent communication. I am currently using a platform that allows me to share photos, videos, home learning assignments as well as the ability to share points via the behavior system embedded within the app. Parents have the ability to view behavior points, either positive or negative, in real time. The app allows me to specify why the student has received the point and parents can ask questions as needed. Students also have a space where they, or their parents in my case, can upload assignments which has eliminated the need for the back and forth of assignments.

Classroom automation software streamlines daily educational tasks, making scheduling, resource allocation, and device control more efficient. This not only saves valuable time but also fosters a structured, consistent learning environment, enhancing the educational experience.

Integrating technology in the classroom transcends mere management convenience, paving the way for students to acquire pivotal digital literacy skills. But you need first a certain mindset to delegate your work to programs. Many teachers don't like it, they then fell useless. Integrating technology in our classroom can be a way to make your lesson interactive or to control your students, this all depends on your objectives. The role it will play depends on the intentions of the teachers and profesionnals using it. I use it to simplify all the task I don't like and am not very good at (records, analytics, automatic tasks and repetitive communication) this way I can focus on offering a personalised attention to my students.
