The economic effects of automation are mostly positive in my opinion. It improves efficiency and effectiveness in erstwhile manual systems which in turn improves productivity which is the desired end result of any economy. The downside of this is the negative effect on the unskilled and low skilled workforce. My idea of a solution to this would be for workers to be more dynamic and less rigid. Learn multiple skills and apply for new jobs where necessary especially since most of these jobs require little training anyways. Or upskill and acquire more advanced skills for better job placements and better pay.
