Being a Fullstack is like being responsible for cooking the food, and then also taking care of washing the dishes - you are doing both (Frontend and and Backend). Your role is on one hand - taking care of the user interface, interactions and flow, and on the other hand - taking care of the behind the scenes, databases and server side. You have to be proficient in both Frontend and Backend technologies. I find it most comfortable to use Javascript (or Typescript - even better), for both. For example: Frontend - React + Typescript Backend - NodeJS + Typescript. Your responsibility is huge, but since you have access to both sides of the project, your options are endless.

I have found it helpful to use a monolith framework like django or ruby to learn full stack development. This keeps it simple in the front-end with just JavaScript, HTML and CSS. This way you get a lot of exposure to back-end while still having the chance to design the web interface. Later, you can focus on learning a front-end framework.
