1 SCADA Fundamentals

The first topic that you should learn is the basic concepts and components of SCADA systems, such as the architecture, communication protocols, human-machine interface (HMI), programmable logic controllers (PLCs), remote terminal units (RTUs), sensors, actuators, and alarms. You should also understand the functions and features of SCADA systems, such as data acquisition, data processing, data visualization, data storage, data analysis, data transmission, control logic, and security. You should be able to explain how SCADA systems work, what are the benefits and challenges of using them, and what are the best practices and standards for SCADA systems.

for useful training in scada, you need to learn in several areas such as technologies (RTU, IMH, ITI TEL, SERVER, LOG), automatons, sensors, actuators. it is necessary to master the field of application, Example field of electricity we base ourselves on forecasts for wind turbines and solar wind turbines. which allows us to specify the correct scenario. Scada is very efficient at managing multiple processors in real time.

The second topic that you should learn is the software tools and applications that are used to create, configure, and manage SCADA systems, such as SCADA software platforms, SCADA development environments, SCADA configuration tools, SCADA simulation tools, and SCADA testing tools. For instrumentation Engineer ??♂?, SCADA training should prioritize: 1. Core System Understanding:- 1.1. Architecture: Master the components (RTUs, PLCs, HMIs), their roles, and communication protocols (Modbus, DNP3, etc.). 1.2. Data Acquisition & Control: Learn how sensors input data, how logic controls processes, and how SCADA displays/manipulates it. 2. Instrumentation Integration:- 2.1. Interfacing with Instruments: Focus on calibrating, configuring, and troubleshooting instruments within the SCADA system. 2.2. Alarm Management: Understand alarm logic creation, filtering, and response procedures. 3. Cybersecurity.
