Definitely agree! Also to add, always have a Travel Checklist & make extra copy of the original in case something unexpected may arise like losing or misplacing your passport. And most of all, be physically and mentally prepared.

Inform clients to recheck all their documents have validity required as per the Country's rules, this is so often overlooked !!! Keep copies of all important documents with a friend back home just incase of a mishap and you need a copy of the same at the destination. Advice them of customs of visiting country and what is Tabboo there. Recommend tried and tested restaurants and best way of obtaining tickets for sites or shows (book these for your clients to save their time)

I piece of advice I usually tell my clients is to save a digital copy / PDF of their travel documents, confirmations, flights, itinerary, passport photos, copies of any visas, health information, and a copy of their passport. Attach all these items to an email and then email it to yourself. This way, should the worst happen, and you lose everything or it gets stolen; you can find a copy of all your important documents from any computer in the world that has an internet connection.

I would like to add that in case of loss of travel documents, it might be good idea to have photos in mobile or in cloud (accessible)

I believe it depends on the destination, but the basics are: Passports (valid for more than 6 months). Appropriate Visas. Travel arrangements (Flight tickets, train tickets…etc) Travel insurance (when needed). Vaccinations (when needed). Customs regulations. Emergency contacts. Currency exchange preferences. Recommend sights (if full program is not included). Time zone. Weather forecasts. Dress code (if necessary). Do’s and don’ts (if specified).
