The metrics is a good indicator if you are really connecting with your audience. During the pandemic, the team I was part of and myself, were adjourned the creation of a newsletter to keep up the morale of the company. It received some really great comments from different parts of the company, because it was fresh, true to the intention and cared about them. Our open rate was quite superior to the "Official" IC newsletter. We got to learn more about our audience thanks to the metrics, and we complemented it with the every day interactions.
