What are the most important design principles for entry level interaction designers?

In my experience the 3most important design principles for Interaction Designs are- 1. Consistency - Using the same design elements throughout the interface, makes it easier for users to navigate and understand the interface clearly. 2. Discoverability - If the user cannot find it, it does not exist. It must be made clear as a bell what actions are possible in a UI in less than a microsecond. 3. Visual Hierarchy - Visually the Interface hierarchy must be balanced and Proportionate, to illustrate each section resembles each other and convey the actual information to the users.

Knowing your users/customers is probably the most important rule in any design. You have to know the people you are building solutions for. Best way to get started is by identifying who they are. Once you know the persona you can go to social media and start conversations. Create mini groups, circles, chats, schedule live talks, zoom calls and just talk. Listen more and talk less. Then you will see a commonalities occur. Take notes on that. Once you find a common issue that they all share you can start creating solutions on them. Don't bottle neck the solutions. Once you have something minimal to propose share it with the users. Collect feedback. Improve. Repeat.
