Testing the Pentest tools should be done in a controlled environment simulating the real setup. Additionally unlike IT network if the Pentest is expected to be done in OT environment one should be very cautious specially if the OT network is utilizing legacy ICS equipment which are very sensitive; and of course the results should be valuable which contributes to the remediation of vulnerabilities which can potentially be corrected impacting partners, owners and customers.
