I am using Kraljic matrix, a useful tool to prioritize your supply portfolio based on two pillars, importance (volume) and market complixty (availability, number of suppliers, critical to work progress, lead time, etc)

1) Prioritize your tasks according to their urgency, importance, and impact, in order to avoid wasting time on low-value or low-priority activities. 2) Organize your time and tasks by planning your schedule in advance and stick to it as much as possible. 3) Communicate effectively and clearly with suppliers, clients, managers, and team members using appropriate channels, tools, and methods. 4) Delegate and outsource some of the tasks to others who have the skills, expertise, and capacity to do them. 5) Automate and streamline tasks such as sourcing, evaluation, negotiation, contract management, and performance monitoring, by using appropriate software and platforms.

Kraljic matrix helps classify the requirement and effective allocation of resources.
