Most widely use loss function is cross entropy loss function. It is used for both binary and multi class classification problem. Binary cross entropy loss for binary class and categorical cross entropy loss for multi class problems.

It depends on the task. I am going to guess we will have people giving different but right answers: e.g., cross entropy for classification problems, rms for linear regression-type problems, symmetric quadratic for time series forecasting, and so on. Maybe the question should be more specific?

3 KL divergence loss

The hinge loss is not a convex loss in the strict sense, but it is a Lipschitz continuous convex loss, and thus is used by many convex optimizers commonly used in machine learning. 5 Triplet loss

Triplet loss is a powerful loss function for learning embeddings, where the model has to map the input to a low-dimensional vector that captures its semantic features.
