Personally, I have sampled many. It seems the integration and setup are key for most to be beneficial. My preferred CRM tools are Cloze.com and HubSpot. Striven also works well; however, some features are not available yet.

Both of these appear clunky compared to slick offerings such as SalesLoft, PipeDrive however Salesforce remains the #1 but high cost has been a driver for companies to adopt monday.com. My dream CRM line up is Salesforce paired with a sales CRM such as Pipedrive or SalesLoft.

My favorite CRMS have analysis tools and dashboards built in, reduceing the skill needed to manage team performance. If you already have KPIs then work backwards, using CRM to find data points that align with your KPIs and then track these.

In my experience, the need for a CRM is understood by most. However, that’s just the start. Too many stress the need without understanding how to effectively utilize it or making it a roadblock to their teams to be more effective. You need to look at your process from end-to-end and ensure that you CRM fits to that, not the other way around. Effective use of a CRM means that you have accessible and actionable data throughout each part of that process. Regularly reviewing those data points and adjusting your CRM as your process changes. Never tailor your process to a CRM and if you aren’t utilizing the data, your CRM is useless.
