An effective strategy for repurposing existing content involves maintaining a categorized content database. For instance, in a project concerning higher education and the public sector, I can conveniently access the relevant section within the database, ensuring a ready foundation for content creation. To implement this, upon completing a project, we undergo an asset "clean-up" process to eliminate any confidential data and then archive it in a designated industry folder. By adopting this method, we significantly trim down both the delivery timeline and expenditure, as we are no longer starting content development from scratch.

You don't need to do everything by yourself when it comes to e-learning content development. While LMSs are good for keeping learning records (certification and compliance), they are not essential for organizational learning. In the highly connected world of today, ready content is available on nearly any topic, which can be curated. For content specific to the organization, user-generated and user-curated content can be of immense value. Such content may be moderated and edited for quality and accuracy, but will give very high ROI. It can also be updated instantly, for new information or policy/technology changes.
