I’m surprised that data quality is identified as a top challenge in this article, and that others agree. In my experience, app data is one of the generally cleaner sources I’ve worked with. It’s all machine generated so it’s not nearly as dirty as data typically coming from surveys for example. I can think of a few scenarios where there was dirty app data that I worked with of course. But I’m not sure I would label this as a top challenge. Perhaps reformatting app data to make it usable for analysis would be a higher ranked challenge in my experience.
