Modular construction is getting traction in oil and gas industry in addition to residential however one drawback would be logistics challenges that need to be addressed during design phase, and to be properly planned with logistics provider taking into consideration size (dimensions), weight, proposed route, and heavy lift (crane) arrangements to unload/install at location.

Digitalization is needed while we already have the system. Most construction companies still do not have appropriate systems and procedures for project planning, implementation and closure. Project teams that come from various regions mean that companies have to adapt every project they start, this happens to small construction companies. It is possible that digitalization starts with software developers who understand the system of how construction companies run, of course affordable prices and patience in implementing digitalization are big challenges for the construction industry to meet.

The environmental change is bringing an unseen amount of flood and other natural disasters often never experienced by the current generation. No amount of human intervention can avoid or change the course of the flood or forest fire. Adaptability is the key word. The buildings that we built now must be able to help the occupant to stay safe to extreme climatic conditions.

Green construction has been with us since decades. Government are taking steps in promoting renewable energy. It needs to be implemented at grassroots levels effectively. Such as Solar system are used for generating electricity for motors used in farming. Many times we find the demand for electricity at urban areas is high thus rural areas get affected and in turn the farmers pay the prices. Educating about renewable sources at village levels would be an effective solution. Also use of plastics in construction of bituminous roads is a good practice which can be enhanced by government initiatives. If the government makes a rule to use certain percentage of plastics in constructions of roads seems to be best method of recycling plastic.

The future is definitely green. If we must survive the coming decades we must start building responsibly by reducing carbon emission in the production of the construction materials, the supply chain of these materials and the entire construction process.

Only by consulting with these groups can we understand their needs.

Building rail systems instead of roads, it is better in the long term though expensive in the short term. Roads need constant maintenance, recarpeting the cost over time is so much worse than a railroad based public transportation system

Construction businesses have no choice but to be involved in the communities they are established and/or working. It's literally a visual impact. This can either promote a positive impact or an adverse one. Does our mission statement include building up communities along with structures?

Construction (buildings and infrastructures) need to be seen as part of the living ecosystem in human life. The buildings and infra need to be understand as "living things" rather than casted stones. Smart buildings and infras can work in hands with immediate ecosystem to serve to the public, with the management of smart humans, too. With the variety of tools and processes that are accessible and available in the Construction market, emphasis should shift towards data production, purpose, use and optimisation across different processes. I think shifting towards digitalised processes requires sociotechnical basis to support process optimisation and impactful use of technologies across different phases.
