Our actions define us more than or words. It is the same with characters. Every action implies a goal and a motivation. For every character, goals and motivations are the result of the material conditions in which s/he develops. The first step is to identify what your character want to achieve or obtain is decided by the conditions of the reality on which s/he is born and raised. This can change from the beginning to the end of the movie. For example, in "The Student of Prague" (Paul Wegener & Stellan Rye, 1913) by the end of the movie Balduin wants to get rid of the image of him created by Scapinelli but at the beginning all he wanted was a few bucks.

Luego de haber estudiado el cuento podemos comenzar a construir los personajes y sus diferentes matices y líneas de tiempo emocionales. - Segundo, es saber escuchar a su director y junto a él buscar diferentes emociones según el cuento y la situación lo requieran. - Tercero es trabajar con humildad, tener mucha autocrítica y saber escuchar y canalizar los diferentes puntos de vista que se puedan plantear. -Cuarto y último es no quedarnos en el punto cómodo del actor y siempre buscar matices diferentes y tratar de ir evolucionando a lo largo de la carrera y la vida de cada personaje.
