This will ensure the spare paart is already available on site thus reducing operation downtime during repairs. Also, buying the critical spare parts at the same time as equipment manufacture will ensure the same manufuring tolerances as the installed part and be at a lower cost compared to buying the spare part as a stand alone item later on.

Supplier selection is also the important factor for quality spares with on time delivery and optimal price solution without putting the organization operations on risk or breakdown due to unavailability of spares. Importantly due to Business critical and Safety critical in some cases , vendor or supplier spares/parts becomes "PROPRIETARY" or "SINGLE PREFERRED SOURCE ITEM" based on above-mentioned describe conditions, where we haven't chance to negotiate or bargain prices or going to open bidding process for the selection of vendor on "LOWEST PRICE CRITERIA" because we will not opt any risk regarding business discontinuity or Safety of the Plant. Quality assurance is another important and major dependancy to ensure the system integrity and reliability. Lowest Price selection criteria for procurement some times compromised the quality of required parts / spares , however by delivering strong and detailed specification for procurement RFQ and technical evaluation based on fulfilling all the requirements and after receiving material Inspection as per Checksheet and checklist for the acceptance or rejection of any parts may mitigate the substandard spares delivery.

In addition to the purchaser's quality procedures, the quality procedures and certification of potential spare part suppliers should also be audited and the chosen suppliers' adherence to those procedures also monitored.

Consider buying critical spare parts and tools with the machines. B. Consider going for an annual maintenance contract with the manufacturer/supplier for a definite period. C. Upgradation of the machine after a certain period of time.
