Such type of direct cost of one business can be indirect in other business. For example: marketing and adverstisting - usually this is not a direct and even indirect. Can be sales expenses as well but never direct/indirect cost. But... if we are in marketing company..... the concept is totally different. Unless if we assume all other lines of PnL not linked to production as indirect cost. I would say, on that that case "fixed cost" instead "indirect cost" as indirect cost is pretty associated to production.
