Aquí es donde se debe hacer especial hincapié en que el estudio abordó la problemática concreta (y se define) sobre una muestra de población representativa según los parámetros que se enumeran. Un ejemplo muy bueno de la importancia de prestar atención en el sesgo de muestreo lo tenemos en la Inteligencia Artifical. Solo que, en este caso, el sesgo no tiene nada de artificial. Se han visto casos en los que las IAs descartan individuos de una muestra al tener determinadas características, en este caso el género femenino, al haber comprobado que en determinados sectores es un caracter marginal. Es por esto mismo que se deben revisar cuáles son los factores que nos llevan a seleccionar a unos individuos y no otros en una muestra. Y más aún, revisar si el sesgo de muestreo se está transmitiendo a los algoritmos.
