Prioritize your team’s knowledge and comfortability. Make sure they understand their editing software, project timeline, and expectations. If you as the production head have any trepidations of thing that may go wrong, then it is your responsibility to make sure that your team is completely up to speed on everything. Also make sure you build a supportive environment for post-production. I’ve seen so many amazing projects crumble because of poor working conditions, lack of respect, and overall lack of communication from leadership.
