In my experience, the most important thing to do before anything else is to clearly define the objectives you aim to achieve through testing the solutions. Setting SMART (Specific, Measurable, Achievable, Relevant, Time-bound) goals ensures a focused and purposeful approach to data collection and analysis. This will lead you to identify specific metrics and key performance indicators (KPIs) that will most accurately represent the success or failure of the tested solutions with the defined objectives. One other thing having clear objectives will do is to help determine the most appropriate methods for collecting data aligned with the test goals, whether it involves surveys, interviews, or user testing which will also affect the analysis.
