What does a designer do?

A designer is responsible for creating visually appealing and functional solutions to meet specific needs. This involves understanding user requirements, generating ideas, and translating them into tangible designs, whether in graphic design, UI/UX design, industrial design, or other disciplines. Designers use creativity, and problem-solving skills, and often collaborate with clients or teams to produce effective and aesthetically pleasing outcomes.

For me, Design is a human activity that permeates culture and gives it value through form. This form could be an interface, a political poster, a day to day object, an instructional video etc.

Design is more than just making things look pretty. It's about solving problems, improving lives, and making the world a better place.

Design is a process in which a problem is solved through a creative approach. Whether it is in forms of graphics, physical or digital products, or services. The design approach combines human and social understanding, communication, production processes, to bring a solution that not only solves the actual problem but one which people would understand it's value. It is an iterative process, where humans should be always in the center of our work.

Design is like making eating time really cool and exciting! It's not just about the food you eat; it's also about how everything around you looks and feels. Imagine going to a restaurant with bright colors, fun shapes, and cozy seats. That's because someone thought about how to make it a happy place for you to enjoy your meal. So, design is like creating a special place where you can have yummy food and lots of fun while you eat!

In my opinion, designs exhibit a plethora of varieties because whenever we aim to articulate our thoughts or tackle a problem, numerous solutions are available, ranging from basic to optimized. A remarkable design facilitates the discovery of the optimized solution with ease. There exist many types of designs, each with its own purposes, such as sculpture design, UI, UX, graphic design, industrial design, fashion design, architecture design, and many more. However, all designs share the common quality of striving towards a unique goal.

As a designer, Finding a new point of view, and presenting the best solution with some special creativity away from hard skills, some public knowledge is also helpful, if I want to say it more specifically like philosophy or sociology because it helps to have a wide range of expressing ideas.

I mentor so many new designers who never dive into this with both feet and never find the benefits of creating passion projects that lead to real paid work in their design field. Designers require a deep understanding of their craft, and emotional intelligence (EQ) plays a crucial role in their success. In addition to creativity, communication, collaboration, research, critical thinking, and technical skills, a strong grasp of their field and an ability to empathize and connect with others are essential for designers to excel in their roles.

For me, designing started while attending hobby classes to understand how it works & can be implemented to create works that is interesting. Studies are important to understand how things work, like perspective, lighting & shadows. Trying out different forms & media is important to carve out a niche, & find the perfect balance between your abilities & dreams. Practice is something which can get your skill to be more accurate with time, & every person, their technique & abilities are unique. Time management is a crucial skill, as you need to schedule your work in a way that it can be deliverable in just the way you/your client envisioned, in case you want to do freelancing & stuff. Studying others' works can also act like an inspiration.

Everyone is born a designer. Then, the way you have been brought up play a critical role in yes or not you become designer. For me, being born in an artistic family of singers, musicians, artists with strong cultural roots, played a big role in my designer becoming.

Personally I think that to become a designer you first need a lot of imagination and to acquire a wide perception of your environment, understanding ideas and experimenting with them and putting them into practice does not make you a designer, but it is possible that by following this path you can acquire more knowledge and polish the skills that can lead you to become a good designer.

With this feature, companies are trying to increase their competitiveness and achieve success with different and new designs. These design works, which pave the way for success, emerge from imagination, intense labor and superior and valuable ideas.

Design is important , because a well structured and pleasing thing attracts more users and can impact what a design wants to convey, while text can be sometimes boring and not everyone niche. So to design something that is functional and aesthetically appealing can lead to many impacts ?
