I will focus on my experience. First, figure out the style of presenting you want to do. Then, go find people that are doing that. Go to user groups, seminars, conventions, and listen and watch. When you find someone you think could help you, ask them. You would be surprised how many people are flattered when someone asks them to be their mentor. As for ongoing, get what you can out of it and when you find you are not growing, you may want to consider moving on and finding someone who can take you to that next step.
