Offering levels of operational, electrical and mechanical troubleshooting and programming courses focused on decreasing Mean-Time-To-Repair (MTTR). 50/50 theory to hands-on time is critical when transferring technical knowledge and know how.

Solving Complex Problems Designing and building functioning technical systems is obviously a critical robotics skill, but it’s just as important to be able to figure out why a system isn’t functioning properly. If it’s a mechanical issue, you’ll need to know the best practices for making a repair. If it’s a software issue, you’ll need to be ready to look for errors or bugs in the code. And if it isn’t immediately clear what the issue is, you’ll need to put your problem-solving skills to work to assess the situation and find a possible solution.

In my opinion doing actual work on a problem / use-case is the most effective and straight-forward way of learning new skills. Make up a project goal that touches domains you're less familiar with and try to solve it efficiently. This will teach you the technologies you actually need. Additionally, if you can monetize this process, you have won the game ;)

I have built up more then a solid foundation in robotics and electronics by building multiple personal projects. These range from small turtle robots, lunar rovers to advanced home robots. Coming up with the requirements or goals, designing and then building to your design teaches you more then you will ever obtain in a formal setting. Robotics is a ever changing field you need to be a life time learner to stay to make advances in the field.

Before you dive into books, courses and projects you need to understand where your knowledge gaps are. I find the easiest way is to look at your goals, where you want your career to go and where there are opportunities for you and compare to your current position. You can then identify the skills or areas you want to improve in, whether that is technical or non-technical. For each of the areas you can look at ways to improve the skill, for some it could be taking a course and then applying the knowledge on projects for others it has to be something you learn by doing. Try not to overwhelm yourself with trying to learn everything at once but take a skills or two at the time and make sure you put the learning into practice.

If you want to use existing tools or frameworks, take the online course. However, if you want to research and improve current methodologies, it's always better to read the papers or documentation published by the authors.
