Everyone would say just practice some DSA problems on leetcode ,well that will work to some extent but when you're in a company which has such huge codebase ,what you think is a great algorithm for your use case might not be good in a bigger picture ,so always ask questions regarding to scalability etc and just understanding the codebase helps a lot to think of new ways to solve a particular problem
