What do you do if you're juggling multiple deadlines in a creative and innovative career?

Trust me it’s just one step at a time for me. I’m not in for juggling multiple deadlines. The next part i’m going to write makes no sense. I’m just writing it cuz LinkedIn won’t let me share with 89 characters. It wants more.

In my experience, particularly in a dynamic industry or organization, juggling multiple deadlines is a frequent challenge—but it's a good problem, indicative of growth and opportunity. As a Design Thinking and Innovation Coach, my approach to managing these deadlines revolves around prioritizing tasks. I utilize the Effort vs. Impact framework to evaluate and prioritize tasks based on their potential impact on the customer and the organization, alongside the effort required to achieve them. This method ensures that we focus our energies on projects that offer the most value and can be delivered efficiently, maximizing both creativity and productivity in our workflows.

According to my experience, I can share these tips and steps with you all:- 1) Making a list of all those tasks with their deadline. 2) Prioritising and sequencing in that manner 3) Filtering out the most important ones 4) Trying to complete one task at a time with full focus 5) Assuming the deadline to be 2-3 days earlier than the actual deadline

This is the most common issue in creative industries, having simultaneous projects with overlapping deadlines...you can use Prioritization matrix, project planning, AI for some repetitive tasks or work that you would delegate but AI with the right prompt can deliver it to you faster. In addition, it's really essential to be creative with deadlines as much as the project itself. Sometimes, finding a lean process to a deliverables can give a time bonus for difficult tasks that needs your full attention.
