What do you do if you're experiencing burnout and need help recovering?
Burnout is a state of emotional, physical, and mental exhaustion caused by excessive and prolonged stress. It occurs when you feel overwhelmed, emotionally drained, and unable to meet constant demands. As the stress continues, you begin to lose the interest and motivation that led you to take on a certain role in the first place. If you're experiencing burnout, the first step towards recovery is acknowledging the problem. It's essential to recognize the signs, which can include chronic fatigue, insomnia, forgetfulness, increased illness, loss of appetite, anxiety, and depression. Once you've identified burnout, you can begin to address it.
