So this person has to decide on their own, no one can do that for them.

It all depends on your family and work situation. Typically, attending an Ivy League school is more expensive. However, attending the same school online could be cheaper than in person. Also, it's critical to discuss this with your family. If you have family commitments, this could elevate your stress. Make sure you don't stretch yourself too thin while pursuing your career and educational goals. Be smart. There are many online alternatives that can save you a ton of time and money. Heck, even simply reading books can help elevate your knowledge. Use your energy wisely!

Flexibility is one of the most important things to consider when deciding between online or in-person education. You must also take into consideration your ability to be self motivated and disciplined. However, many universities do not invest in their online offerings in the same way that they do their in-person offerings. I will admit freely that I prefer a classroom full of people. Two reasons. First, if the school gets the mix right, the dynamic in room can never be replicated online. And second, the amazing friends you make. I also taught online for four years at a major university. The students were from around the world. As the instructor, I got to know many of them. To this day I offer life long office hours. I admire the drive of online students. Their ability to concentrate is astounding to me.

If I have to learn coding, I will choose an online program. But, if I have to choose sales/negotiations, I will go with an offline option. Reason? Online coding programs offer interactive games/projects that can allow me to practice my coding skills while learning a language. However in sales, I would need immediate feedback and personal coaching. Here I can learn to observe body language, tone of voice, and other non verbal clues that are important for effective communication in sales and negotiation. Peer to peer learning is important when you are learning sales or negotiations. Some Online program do offer interactive learning for sales training as well. Still, I would prefer instructor-led offline programs for sales.
