Another option is to pick a freelancing project which again mostly areas real-world experience but the downside is you don't get to know much business because of the nature of that work. The third option is to enroll yourself in a university professional course, where at the end of the semester you get a chance to work on a professional project giving valuable real-world experience.

The most important thing in my opinion is to find a way through the confusion of so much advice and recommendations that you can find online. The solution is to find (and stick) to a authoritative source, which could be a reputable learning site or author or even the actual people in charge of your platform, eg if developing for Apple stick to the WWDC related channels, for Android the Google documentation channels etc, with time you develop a sense for it but at the beginning its the hardest thing not to get bogged down in conflicting advice

Although you can learn in a self-taught way, it is highly recommended to take a structured and in-depth course, to know both the proper development structure and the load that the logics cause in the system.

In my opinion, i will not suggest to start with video tutorials. It's hard to remember spoken things. While written things which you read, are remembered in some area of brain. Then you proceed reading and implementing real world app to showcase your knowledge to the others.

If I am a beginner to a project, It raised few question If i am expert I will start immediately If i am beginner as well i will keep practicing and some how will start work on project Like UI etc, while learning and practicing parallel along with joining different community , so open your ways of leaning as much as possible , and knock the door when it is needed.
