If I encountered such a situation my approach would be to. Gather, Seek, Propose, Document and Collaborate. 1. Gather Intel: Understand the decision rationale. 2. Seek clarification of the decision: Ask management questions to uncover the underlying reasons for the decision. RCA (Root Cause Analysis) 3. Propose Alternatives: Suggest other solutions and how they can be achieved. 4. Document: Note your concerns and keep records for future reference. 5. Collaborate: Engage with your fellow colleagues to discuss and improve the decision making process. Remember that constructive dialogue fosters better outcomes. Provide an opportunity for everyone to discuss the options before submitting the final decision to management.
