I agree, most of teams fail because they don't know the full picture , some manager try to hide the full picture including the scopes, pricing of BOQ, deliverables from their teams and then they blame team for failure. Transparency is the key, if you will not show the destination people will never reach, give them them targets , but never expect every one will follow same route as in your mind, get fruit of the diversity, every individual is different. Today's word is a mutual effort and ideology of multiple brains and multiple route, allow team to fail and rise again and bring new idea and ways but reemeber paths change goal never.

To be a great Leader, you must have and be able to share Vision and Direction. Most of us are "Why People", so you team needs to understand both Vision and direction if you what your team to be function at its best. For a team to be it's best, it not only has to be successful, it has to be happy. A team won't fully be happy if they don't understand both vision and direction, because the "why" will be missing.

We discovered a GUI version of TIRKs, one of our team members was able to use his programming experience to create a web based tool for order entry that used a macro based on input into the tool, it would completely fill in an Access Service Request in less than a minute. This was typically a very manual process. The team contributed to the testing and it went very well

Say yes or no to whomever, when it benefits your team. An indecisive squirrel gets run over.
