Being part of remote team can feel isolating. Often times you lose the closeness that impromptu conversations "around the water cooler" can bring. The only place we see each other are in agenda driven video meetings, so you need to foster ways to connect as humans. For example, - Via a team chat channel, share personal anecdotes on a regular basis. My dogs make frequent appearances. Pictures, videos or short blurbs about their zany behaviors are great conversation starters. This builds on itself and people start to share back with the group too. - Set a bi-weekly "hang time" video meeting. No agenda, just a time that people can be "together" for spontaneous interaction. It sounds odd at first, but people love it.

Make sure that all team members are involved in the agenda items. If they have to present or lead a discussion at some stage, they are more likely to engage in the discussions of other items as well. If not, make a point of asking for their views. In smaller teams, I also prefer to leave the cameras turned on as it is easier to gauge if somebody has lost concentration and isn't fully participating.

It is always helpful to have informal team meetings at least once or twice a week, where team members are encouraged to share their personal experiences while working from home, which will help gauge different type of challenges faced by individuals, basis which the team leader/manager should provide the required support or adjust the work schedules accordingly.
