Engage them in identifying how to implement. Allow them to discuss, in a workshop, what are the ideas and how may they help and be implemented. Enjoy the fact that they are contributing.

Listen to the idea with intent - show that you value them. Ask questions - to understand the genesis of the thought and to fine tune them later. Evaluate the feasibility to implement. Provide necessary support and help them implement it. If it has to be dropped, give them feedback as to why it has to be dropped. Overall, it should lead to newer ideas from the entire team

En mi experiencia, tenemos la oportunidad de ayudar a nuestros equipos de manera sistemática. Por ejemplo, en las sesiones semanales, teníamos una sección de 5-8 minutos para nuevas ideas o aportes. Colocábamos en la pizarra la iniciativa, su nivel de prioridad, nivel de impacto y líder de la idea. En la siguiente sesión, hacíamos una lluvia de ideas para aportar a dicha idea y establecíamos un plan de acción. La priorización, pero sobre todo el nivel de impacto, hacía ver cuáles eran las ideas del equipo a las que había que prestar más atención. Luego esto se escalaba al siguiente nivel para lograr apoyo por parte de otros departamentos que eran actores relevantes en dicha iniciativa.

For this team members should be aligned and ideas are to be focused for action. However,great an idea can be it is not sufficient to achieve the results if proper sustainable actions are put in place. Cuando íbamos adelante con una idea viable y de mediano a alto impacto, definíamos un esquema RASCI (definición de roles y responsabilidades) para ayudar a que la idea se concrete y buscar no solamente sponsors sino colaboración con otros equipos de diferentes áreas que pudieran contribuir al éxito del proyecto. Se demostraba una cohesión increíble con el equipo ya que independientemente de a quién le pertenecía la idea, en algún momento los roles iban a cambiar para los diferentes proyectos que resultaban. Algo que también nos ayudó es que si las iniciativas se desarrollaban a nivel corporativo, el sentido de competitividad alentaba a que se presentaran proyectos de calidad que calificaran como los mejores.

Una buena práctica es generar una lámina resumen de las buenas ideas o prácticas realizadas. En ella se describe la problemática, el método, los resultados y las lecciones aprendidas. Recomiendo trabajar de la mano con el área que lidera las estrategias de excelencia operacional (OpEx) o mejora continua (que en algunas empresas suele estar integrada a Sistemas de Gestión), ya que ellos acompa?an con la metodología y soporte. La comunicación es fundamental para que se haga visible al líder del proyecto, al equipo que la integra y los resultados. Que se sepa concretamente como cada uno desde su posición contribuye con el resultado esperado por la compa?ía.

Un viaje a una filial de la empresa para brindar soporte de la implementación de su idea. b. No monetario: Trofeo, medalla, diploma o mención en los magazines de la empresa, así como en los foros de alto nivel. El premio motiva a lograr más objetivos o inspirar a los demás a proponer ideas quizá de mayor impacto que la que se implementó.
